High School Batch of 1980 mini-Reunion: A Joyous Celebration of Friendship and Memories

Last April 6, 2024, a wave of laughter, music, and fond memories filled the air as the High School Batch of 1980 gathered for their much-anticipated mini-reunion. After enduring the challenges of the pandemic, these 28 lovely alumni embraced the opportunity to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate life’s milestones.

The reunion commenced from 4 pm to 9 pm and was a jubilant affair marked by lively dances and heartfelt renditions of beloved tunes from their youth. It was a testament to the enduring bonds forged during their formative years, now strengthened by the passage of time and shared experiences.

The esteemed guests were the President of the Assumption College of Davao, Sr. Elvira D. Soleminio, m.a, the dedicated Alumni Coordinator, Ma’am Fe Palma, and the newly appointed External Relations (Alumni) and Internationalization Officer, Ms. Mylen Cano. Their presence underscored the significance of the event and the cherished connections fostered within the alumni community.

Adding to the warmth of the occasion was the presence of Dr. Iris Melliza, the former School Directress, and Ma’am Judith Puyat-Magnaye whose efforts contributed to the success of the gathering. Her dedication to fostering a sense of belonging among the HS Batch 1980 alumni was evident throughout the evening.

As old friends embraced and new memories were made, there was a palpable sense of gratitude for the opportunity to come together once more. The reunion served as a reminder of the resilience and enduring spirit of the High School Batch of 1980, who, despite the challenges they faced, continued to find joy in each other’s company.

Onward, Onward Assumption!
