Tadura successfully presented her final defense for her research titled <em>\u201cCompetency-based e-Strategic Intervention Material (e-SIM): A Tool to Improve Academic Performance in Chemistry\u201d<\/em> at the College of Hospitality Management Function Room. The goal of the research was to create an e-SIM that would improve students&#8217; chemistry performance through a competency-based learning approach.<\/p><p>The panelists for Ms. Tadura&#8217;s defense were distinguished experts in their fields, including Dr. Giovanni A. Montejo, Delia M. Carascal, MAT-Math, and Novilla R. Canalita, MAST-Bio. Their diverse backgrounds provided valuable insights and constructive feedback that helped refine the research.<\/p><p>Ms. Tadura\u2019s decision to pursue this action research reflects her deep commitment to improving the academic outcomes of her learners. Motivated by the challenges faced by students in mastering complex chemistry concepts, she developed an e-SIM to address specific learning gaps and foster better understanding through technology. The findings of her study not only validated the effectiveness of e-SIMs in improving academic performance but also highlighted the potential of such digital tools to revolutionize educational practices.<\/p><p>Driven by the promising results of her research, Ms. Tadura expressed her intention to have her work published in the future, hoping that it could benefit other educators and inspire further studies on the integration of technology in learning.
