Assumption College of Davao held the AssumptiOLYMPICS 2024

Assumptionists are known to be skilled and talented, not only in sports but also in dancing and singing. Of course, the Assumption College of Davao personnel are very active in proving this.

Last April 25–26, 2024, the faculty from the primary up to the college department, the non-teaching personnel, and the management council showcased their skills and abilities in the different activities in the AssumptiOLYMPICS 2024, with the theme “Celebrating Synodality and Solidarity through Talents and Sports!” crafted by the Training and Development Office—Human Resource Development Office (TDO—HRDO) of the institution. The events were the following: Jenga, Snake and Ladders, Chess, Word Factory, Scrabble, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Laro ng Lahi, Cheers and Yells, Vocal Solo and Duet, Pinoy Pop Modern Dance, Interpretative Dance, and the much-awaited “Your Face Sounds Familiar!”.

The employees were grouped into four teams: the BlueTallions, led by Ms. Johanni Estoque from the Search and Growth Center; Red Cavalries, led by Mr. Dandie Fernandez from the College Department; Ms. Pinky Achilag, our Librarian for the Elementary and Junior High School Department, and Mr. Jellosan Jalea, from the Senior High School Department. Having the BlueTallions as the overall champion for the mentioned activity, the Red Cavalries as the 1st Runner-Up, Rajah Saffrons as the 2nd Runner-Up, and the Yellow Sentinels as the 3rd Runner-Up.

Months have been spent on meetings, planning, and preparations for the AssumptiOLYMPICS 2024, and it was held successfully and in a very fun way. Next school year, the spirit of teamwork, creativity, and camaraderie is expected to continue, with new and more events to look forward to.
