
On February 24, 2025, the League of Values Education Students (LOVES) hosted the eagerly anticipated second edition of LOVES Day Celebration at AVR2, embodying the theme “Feast of Love: Honoring Excellence and Living by Values.” The event began with members registering their attendance, marking their presence and dedication to the occasion. The program commenced with a heartfelt prayer, followed by a stirring rendition of the national anthem, which exemplified the core values of the Assumptionist tradition.
The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm during the Kumustahan segment, where students shared their expectations for this year’s festivities. Mr. Dandie Fernandez, MATRE, the club moderator, then delivered his warm opening remarks, extending a gracious welcome to all attendees and officially inaugurating the activities of LOVES Day. The celebration served as a poignant reminder of the cherished values that define the Assumptionist spirit. Under the theme “Feast of Love: Honoring Excellence and Living by Values,” the event sought to recognize individuals and organizations whose actions exemplify a commitment to excellence and ethical principles.
Each year level presented remarkable performances that captivated the audience with their meaningful messages. The Second Year Day class passionately articulated the importance of social justice in protecting the marginalized, echoing the school’s Values, Mission, and Goals. Later, the Second Year Evening class showcased their artistic talents, depicting various forms of justice crucial for societal harmony, each narrative resonating deeply with the school community.
The event was graced by esteemed speakers Susan Obena, RGC, and Chris Paul Aladad, LPT, whose heartfelt messages resonated profoundly with LOVES members, inspiring them to lead by example and uphold the values that shape honorable individuals.
Another highlight of the day was the Amazing Race activity, where students engaged in spirited games that tested their character, values, and teamwork. Through collaborative efforts at each station, participants showed meaningful connections and strengthened bonds with one another.
As the event drew to a close, the profound impact of living with integrity and embracing diversity became evident. LOVES President delivered stirring closing remarks, emphasizing the significance of the day and expressing gratitude for the transformative experiences shared. The event culminated in a ceremony honoring members for their active participation, emphasizing the enduring importance of compassion and integrity in our lives.
